The name should derive from the word "lucus", wood, which should remember the territory of the municipality actually rich in vegetation.

LUCITO is a village in Molise region, Campobasso province on 480 m above sea level and with 640 inhabitants. The name probably arrived at this village from a rich owner who had this place. It’s located at 148 km from Pescara airport and 182 from Naples; the Adriatic coast in Termoli is far 50 km, while ski resort is reachable in 1 hour. There is a lot to see in the historic center. There are palaces as Palazzo De Rubertis and Palazzo Marquis of Capecelatro. Very beautiful and particular is the Church of San Nicola di Bari, with a table by Santafede and a painting by Brunetti. In the town there is a bar, butcher, bakery, pharmacy.
