When you arrive in FURCI the first thing you can see is the medieval tower that, supervising the entrance of the fortified village, represents a kind of material and temporal division between the old and the new part of the town. Furci is perched on a hill and its original centre is surrounded by the ancient wall ruins while the modern part has been developed over time without incorporating the historical centre. Furci is well known also because here there is the native house of Beato Angelo da Furci, an Augustinian friar and great thaumaturge lived between the 13th and the 14th centuries and who attracts every year thousands of pilgrims, especially during the patronal festivities on the 17th of May and 13th of September. In August the village brightens up during the "pecorara", the sheep festival. In the village are present all basic facilities.
