SAN GIOVANNI LIPIONI is a tiny mountain village in the province of Chieti with 138 inhabitants where there is a mini market and a bar. In addition to the picturesque historic center characterized by houses in carved stone, in San Giovanni we can admire the fortified village of the XIII-XIV century. The churches represent a very important heritage, such as that of Santa Maria delle Grazie, built in 1504. The Chapel of Santa Liberata and the ancient buildings of the Lozzi and Rossi family are no less, the latter distinguished by a mighty stone arch and a door with period friezes.
